Ok so this is my first ever nail polish post! I plan on doing this with all my new polishes and any of my current ones that I really love or really stand out for some reason. I also don't know if I'll stick with Blogger or switch over to my main site which uses WordPress. But I'm trying this for now.
So anyway, the first color I'm swatching is Wet n Wild Megalast Disturbia. I picked it up at Walgreens the other day for a WHOPPING $.99!!! I grabbed it because in the bottle the color looks just stunning. In the bottle it looks like a deep purple with just a touch of shimmer. But on my nails it looks much darker, almost brown or black. One coat looked lighter and more purple-y, but it was also pretty streaky. In the polish's defense though, it's a different type of brush than I have ever used, so with more practice it might be less streaky.
All-in-all, I don't LOVE the color once painted. It's not bad, just not spectacular. I'm thinking it will make a beautiful backdrop for that perfect glitter polish that I'm still searching for (suggestions please???).
Here's a shot of the cool brush. It was nice, but I have very, very narrow nail beds, so it was almost too wide for my pinky nails. This made application a tad bit awkward which likely contributed to the streakiness of my first coat.
